The Cray Valley Award - Rules

1. The award is available to any licensed radio amateur or short wave listener who submits proof of working or hearing Cray Valley Radio Society members since 1 January 2000.

2. Five classes of award are available – Basic, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond as follows:

"EU" Stations 10 30 40 50 60
"DX" Stations 5 15 20 25 30
Maximum number of 3 Point QSOs 1 3 4 5 6

3. Stations in GD, GI, GM, GU, GJ and GW should use the rules for “EU” stations.

4. All QSO’s must be made from the same DXCC country.

5. Contacts can be made on any band and on any mode. Endorsements for all/single band/mode are available. Contacts made via any Internet links or man-made repeating devices are not valid, i.e. voice, television or packet repeaters, satellites or anything else that electronically relays a signal.

6. Each Cray Valley Radio Society member worked counts as 1 point.

7. A list of current Cray Valley Radio Society members is shown here

8. Each Cray Valley Radio Society call sign – G3RCV, GX3RCV, G1RCV, GX1RCV, M8C – or any Special Event Station operated by Cray Valley Radio Society members up to the maximum number shown above counts as 3 points.

A list of qualifying Special Event Stations is shown here. Each Society station or Special Event Station contacted above the maximum number shown above counts as 1 point.

9. Short Wave Listeners may apply for the Cray Valley Award using the above rules.
